Q: # 1 : How do I sign-up and post an ad?
A: # 1 : If you have not already registered for the site, follow steps 1 – 3, this will only take a moment and signing up is easy! If you already have an account registered, please proceed to step 3 now.
Step 1 – To post an ad, you will have to first create an account. Select the “Sign up” (located in the horizontal menu tab) option, provide a valid email address for account registration and select ‘submit’. You will receive a confirmation email in a few moments to complete your registration.
Step 2 – Once you have received the registration email, there will be a link within the message that you must click. After you "clicked" this link, you will be directed to a registration section on our web site to complete the process. Once you have entered the required information, select ‘submit’.
Step 3 – If you feel ready to post an ad, click the button “Post an Ad” located in the horizontal menu. You will then be able to start creating your ads.

Q: # 2 : How do I modify an ad that has been posted?
A: # 2 : To make modifications to your ad after it has been posted you will need to access the user control panel.
Step 1 – Select the ‘My Account’ option located in the top right corner of the page.
Step 2 – Fill in your log-in information in the appropriate section.
Step 3 – Select the title of the ad that you would like to modify, make your desired changes and then click “Update”.

Q: # 3 : How do I upload an image for my ad?
A: # 3 : To post an image for your ad, you will have to first access the form you used to create the ad. Your image should be numeric from a digital camera or a scanned image of another photograph.
The maximum dimensions for the image is 640 pixels by 480 pixels (L x H) and can be up to 100kb. The format of your image must beforehand be converted and safeguarded in one of the following formats:
.gif (example: myimage.gif)
.jpeg (example: myimage.jpeg)
.jpg (example: myimage.jpg)
.png (example: myimage.png)
Once the image has been uploaded to your PC, you will need to now follow these steps to update your ad:
Step 1 - Go to the “My Account” section located in the top right corner of the page.
Step 2 - Fill in your log-in information in the appropriate section.
Step 3 - Select the ad that you would like to attach an image to by selecting the title of the post.
Step 4 - Click “Browse” to locate the image you would like to add, you can also include a brief description of the image that will be displayed.
Step 5 - Click on the “Update” button.
Step 6 - Repeat Steps 4 & 5 if you have multiple images to post.

Q: # 4 : How long will it take for my ad to be posted on the site?
A: # 4 : Your ad should be posted within 1-2 business days; this is to ensure that it meets the criteria for the site. If your ad has not been posted after 2 business days, please contact us so that we can verify the status.

Q: # 5 : What is the cost to post an ad?
A: # 5 : Until further notice, Distributel invites you to post your ads at no charge, it is absolutely free!

Q: # 6 : How long will my ad be listed for?
A: # 6 : Until further notice, any ads that are posted are not subject to an expiry date. Please, however, remember to update your ads if a product or service is no longer available as a courtesy to other users.

Q: # 7 : What is the method of payment?
A: # 7 : Until further notice, there is no charge for posting ads on the site, therefore a payment would not be required at this time.

Q: # 8 : Does Distributel offer a product guarantee for items listed on the site?
A: # 8 : Distributel does not offer any guarantee on the services and products listed on the site.

Q: # 9 : How many ads can I post?
A: # 9 : There is no limit on the number of ads that can be posted. Distributel, does, however, reserve the right to limit any user that may impede the site from normal operations.

Q: # 10 : How many images can be posted for each ad?
A: # 10 : There is a limit of 5 images per ad.

Q: # 11 : Can I list an ad in several categories?
A: # 11 : You can list your ad in as many categories as you wish. Distributel reserves the right to remove ads present in non-relevant categories.

Q: # 12 : Will my ad be posted in both sections (English & French)?
A: # 12 : If you would like your ad to be posted in both the English and French sections, you will need to create two separate ads, one in each language. You will have an option when creating your ad to select the desired language.

Q: # 13 : What is the Featured Ad?
A: # 13 : The Featured ad always appears at the top of the category list in the respective category with a bright red star and the letter “F”. Even with the addition of new ads, the Featured ad will remain. If there are more than 12 Featured ads, they will be positioned on rotation. Featured ads will also display the product image in the category list while other ads will only show a small camera icon. The Featured ad option will run for the duration of the ad.

Q: # 14 : What will happen to my ad after the free promotion ends?
A: # 14 : Until further notice, Distributel will allow users to post their ads for free. If the free promotion is not available any more, an email will be sent to all users, for informing them about the changement and to remind them that the promotion will end at the end of the folowing month. Users will have the option to re-post their ads, but if they choose not doing it; their ads will simply expired at the end of the free promotion and would be removed from the site automatically.
